| Electrolysis
is a system of hair removal that has been in use since 1875.
Its effectiveness in removing hair is championed by the fact
that electrolysis is the only form of permanent hair removal
recognized by the American Medical Association and the FDA.
The
process is initiated by inserting a sterile fine needle into
the base of the hair folicle. The needle (a thin wire like
instrument) applies a measured amount of electricity at the
base of the folicle creating an electrical sensation which
cauterizes the blood flow at the root of the hair causing
its distruction. The hair can then be removed and does not
grow back.
High
Tech Electrolysis uses only state-of-the art computerized
equipment and practices up-to-date sterilization procedures.
The sterilization procedures include the sterilization of
all electrology instruments, the use of a face mask, the use
of pre-sterilized, single-use disposable needles plus hand
washing and the use of a fresh pair of disposable gloves for
each treatment. These technologies make electrolysis effective
and comfortable.
How
long a person has to undergo treatment to remove their unwanted
hair and the method used depends on the amount of hair, its
coarseness and the cause of the excess hair.
